Pond rules

Nasduck runs on Robinhood Chain. These are the rules — worth reading before your first jump-in.

Which token does a pond use?

The first successful deposit chooses a token from the approved list. Everyone in that pond uses the same token. The next pond starts with a fresh choice.

Can I deposit ETH?

Yes. Choose ETH for an empty pond, or join a pond already using ETH. Enter in one transaction. Winnings and refunds return ETH by default.

What is the minimum deposit?

Each token has its own minimum, shown beside the amount field. It applies to every deposit, including the first; there is no opening charge. Minimums can be updated for future ponds. A pond that has already opened keeps its original minimum.

How do the odds work?

Your odds are your share of the pond, nothing else. Contribute 25% of the pond’s total and you have a 25% chance of winning. Every jump-in from another duck moves everyone's number, so the percentage on your patch is always current.

How is the winner picked?

When the two minutes are up the pond closes and the wheel spins. Every duck gets an arc sized to their stake, so a bigger slice is a better chance and never a certainty. The landing point comes from onchain randomness that is committed before the pond closes, which means nobody — including us — gets to choose where the wheel lands.

What are the fees?

1% of the pond goes to the protocol and the winner takes the other 99%. There is no fee to jump in and no fee to claim. You still pay ordinary network gas on each transaction.

What if only one duck shows up?

Then there is no draw. A pond needs at least two ducks to spin, so a lone entry is called off and the deposit is refundable in full from that pond's page. You lose nothing but the two minutes.

Can I pull out mid-round?

No, you can't pull out.
